Harm Reduction in Prison Coalition
TRS/MWIPM Self-Funds advocacy as the convening agent for the Harm Reduction in Prison Coalition. The goal of the coalition is to improve the health of individuals incarcerated in Illinois jails/prisons and returning citizens by increasing the Harm Reduction knowledge of CBO’s and other stakeholders in Chicago, Illinois and advocatIng for better harm reduction services in Illinois state prisons and county jails.
The voices of returning citizens are represented by members of the TRS/MWIPM Community Advisory Board, which is comprised of formerly incarcerated men and women and community organizations serving the needs of SupportIng HIV/HCV testing and care services returning citizens.
